Our mission is to build our students’ academic confidence. By meeting our students where they are, and ensuring that they master the building blocks before tackling advanced concepts, we transform academic frustrations into welcoming challenges. Experience has shown us time and again that introducing students to real-world scenarios helps bring seemingly mundane subjects to life, leaving them inspired to learn more and to engage critically with the practical applications of other subjects.

OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Zeinab has over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience with all levels of mathematics and science for middle school, high school, and college level students. She is passionate about education and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Johns Hopkins pre-college program, where she teaches Engineering Innovation and Biomedical Engineering Innovation to high school students. Additionally, she has taught courses at Caltech, the University of Michigan, UCLA, and Johns Hopkins University in a variety of engineering fields. Pursuing her passion for teaching, she developed courses and taught as an Adjunct Faculty in community colleges and private universities. Her courses include College Algebra, Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Introduction to Engineering.

  • Anya Melnikova

    Anya, Russia’s 2009 International Olympiad Representative in Mathematics and a Winner of the 2009 Russian Inter-regional Physics Olympiad, loves to spark interest in the sciences and mathematics. Her teaching style is fun and engaging .
    In her free time, Anya likes to hike and critique Russian literature.

    Anya teaches Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Coding, and Russian.

  • Samira Humes

    Samira obtained her Master of Performance and Language from Conservatoire National de Paris. Having performed in many operas across Europe, Samira is happy to bring music and language to her students.
    In her free time, Samira enjoys dancing and painting.

    Samira teaches Piano, Music Theory, French, and German.

  • Dr. Jeiran Jahani

    A Neuroscientist, a Coder, and a researcher of Ancient Art History of Iraq and Iran, Jeiran does it all. She loves learning about different fields and enjoys sharing her passion for learning with her students.
    In her free time, Jeiran enjoys exploring museums and new forms of media art.

    Dr. Jeiran teaches Italian, Art History, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Coding.

  • Patient and Prepared - I was looking for an AP Calculus tutor for my very busy son who is a junior in high school. Since my son had a test that week I contacted Zeinab and she was able to come that week. I had read her other reviews which had mentioned how prepared she was. She showed up with the same AP Calculus book that my son was using and she had asked ahead of time what chapter he was on. She came very prepared. She is very patient also. Zeinab was the perfect choice for my son. She is able to accomplish a lot at each session since she knows so much about the subject. My son says that she's able to break it down in a way that he can understand it. I am so glad that Zeinab is my son's tutor because I know that he is now getting the one on one help he needed to succeed in the class.

  • Great Tutor - I am a sophomore at UC Irvine and Zeinab helped me with my physics course. I met with Zeinab for two terms and with her help was able to succeed in a rather difficult class (my first labmate dropped out of the class in the very beginning of the first term).   • Very efficient and effective teacher - We've tried a couple of tutors for my son's Physics AP subject. When I interviewed Zeinab on the phone, she proactively inquired about my son's needs and the specific subjects and concepts he struggled with. Zeinab asked for the book and the specific chapters he studied. She made sure she was up to date on the subjects and showed up fully prepared. She covered all the problems and concepts for force and friction effectively and efficiently. Zeinab taught my son how to break down the problems into logical elements/components and then proceed to solve the problem. Zeinab is patient, thorough, objective, efficient, effective and most of all, she shows up very well prepared. She had actually looked for the similar text book my son is using and reviewed it. Based on the material that was covered, she actually condensed what would be a four hour session into 2.5 to 3 hours. I am very happy with Zeinab's efforts. She does quality work!
